FAQ about Newsletter for WordPress for nonprofits
What does the WordPress Newsletter plugin cost?
The core plugin is free under GPLv2 or later and has no stated subscriber or newsletter cap. The free software does not include hosting, email delivery, paid professional add-ons or one-to-one support, so those expenses remain separate.
Is the plugin free specifically for nonprofits?
The cited access information describes a free open-source core plugin, not a nonprofit-only program. It states no nonprofit eligibility conditions or special discount, so nonprofit organizations use the same GPLv2-or-later core software.
What must the organization still provide or pay for?
The organization still needs WordPress hosting and a suitable mail or SMTP provider for delivery. Sending capacity depends on that service, while professional add-ons and one-to-one support are paid separately from the free core plugin.
Is there a limit on core subscribers or newsletters?
The official plugin information states unlimited subscribers and unlimited newsletters for the core plugin. It does not state an overage charge because those counts are uncapped; delivery capacity instead depends on the organization's hosting or SMTP provider.
